First Dham Is Yamunotri
The Temple Yamunotri is well known for origin source of river Yamuna. Here is Goddess Yamuna Idol situated inside the temple. You can reach yamunotri by trek of 6 kilo meter from the place Janki Chatty and the height of the Yamunotri from see level is 3293 meter.The present mandir was built by the Maharani Guleria of Jaipur in 19th century.
The Sury Kund is very famous here for its hot water & cooking. In this kund you can easily boil potatoes and rice by tying in a cloth for few minutes. Devotees take back this cooked item to home as a Prasad.
When The Temple Yamunotri Closed And Best Time To Visit
The Yamunotri is the first among the four dham where from pilgrims take start their journey to 4 dham.
In the winters ,the doors of the Yamuna temple get closed and the Idol of Yamuna ji brought to Kharsali village in Uttarkashi and for the next six month the idol of mata is kept in Shani dev temple.
Best time to visit yamunotri is May – June and September – November .Visiting time 6 am – 8 pm.

Second Dham Gangotri
The place Gangotri is well known for Goddess Ganga Temple & Glacier. Here is the temple of Mata Ganga and worship here,it is also 2nd dham after Yamunotri to visit. The Gangotri is situated on the altitude of 3140 meter from the sea level. Bhagirathi river flow beside the temple and its origin of river Ganga.
According to the hindu mythologies ,The king Bhagirath brought Ganga on the earth by doing very hard penance.So the river know as Bhagirathi on the name of King Bhagirath and its originated from Gomukh. After success of king Bhagirath to bring Ganga on earth .Here requested Lord Shiva to control the rapid flow of Ganga .On the pray of the king Shiva agree to control flow of river in his hair. The real Ganga formed from the Devprayag confluence (Alaknanda & Bhagirathi).
When The Temple Gangotri Closed And Best Time To Visit
On the occasion of Goverdhan pooja the doors of Gangotri dham are closed and the idol of mata brought to the Mukhba Village in Harshil town for next six month.
Best time to visit Gangotri temple is May- June and September to November .Visiting time 6 am to 2 pm and 3pm to 9:30pm places to visit:- Bhagirath shila,bhairav valley,Gomukh ,Submerged Shivling. If you want to reach Gomukh ,so you need to trek 19km from Gangotri Temple.

When The Kedarnath Doors Closed And Best Time To Visit
After the Diwali the door of Kedarnath temple are closed and the idol brought to Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath for next six month in winter.
The best time to visit kedarnath is May-June and September – November. The temple closed for 3pm to 5 pm.

Fourth Dham Badrinath
The Badrinath Temple is dedicated to lord bishnu. The location of the temple in between two huge mountains name as Nar and Narayan. According to the mythology lord Bishnu meditate at this place.The Alaknanda river increase beauty of Badrinath dham.Here is a Tapt kund in which devotes take dip before the darshan of Shri Badrinarayan bhagwan.The temple is situated at the height of 3133 meter from the sea level.The present temple of Badri vishal is built by the Garhwal King two century ago and it is built in conical style.The total height of this temple is about 15 meter and has dome where almost 15 idols are present. According to the people believe the temple was built in vedic time ,later it is renovated by the Adi Guru Shankarachary in 8th century.Badrinath temple is also one of Char Dham all over the india. Inside the temple here is 1 meter tall black idol of lord Vishnu with carving of other detail.In the winter the idol of lord Vishnu shifted to the Narshima Temple of Joshimath for six month.

The best time to visit Badrinath is summer April –June and September – November.Temple visiting time is :- 4:30 am to 1 pm and 4pm to 9pm.
